PRANA — the living Earth
Earthquakes, wildfires, storms and warnings, rendered in real time on a photoreal 3D globe. The planet as it is right now, not as a diagram.
Most hazard maps are flat, stale, and built for agencies. PRANA is built for the feeling of looking down at a planet that is alive.
Real-time layers stream in from public sources — USGS for earthquakes, NOAA/NCEP GFS for wind, NASA GIBS for imagery — and drape over a photoreal globe you can spin, tilt, and fall into. Every layer is toggleable; every view is a permalink, so a specific quake at a specific moment is a URL you can send someone.
The base imagery is NASA Blue Marble by day and VIIRS Black Marble by night — the actual lights of actual cities.
Spin it. Something is always happening.
